Large Material, Compact Design.... The NEW BC160XL 6" chipper Designed for the European market, the BC160XL disc-style chipper has industry-leading features in an easy-to-use and compact design.With standard features including the AutoFeed II® system to help maximize productivity and the Bottom/Side Feed Stop Bars to enhance operator safety, the BC160XL is an ideal choice for rental fleets and small-size tree-care companies who focus on pruning and crown reductions. The 19.3 kW (26 hp) water-cooled Kohler diesel engine is fully enclosed, which helps reduce noise levels in residential and confined jobsites. Controls and the engine monitoring system required to operate the machine are located around the infeed table. Whatever the position of the turntable, the operator does not have to walk around to adjust a control or check the engine, increasing operator efficiency. The BC160XL helps reduce maintenance time with easy access to the engine and cutter housing. When replacing the two flat-mounted cutter knives, no adjustment of the shear bar is required. Compact design. With a towing weight of just 750 kg (1635.5 lb) and a 273 cm (107.5") transport length, the BC160XL is compact for small jobsites, yet has the ability to take on large material. The discharge chute folds easily from a working height of 240 cm (94.5") to 193 cm (76") for transport and storage. 360° rotating turntable. The turntable rotates 360° and has six fixed positions that allow for material to be fed from almost any direction. High-capacity infeed. The BC160XL has a 16 cm by 20 cm (6.3" x 7.9") infeed opening and twin horizontal feed rollers for consistent material pull-in, which help reduce blockages. Bottom/Side Feed Stop Bars. The Bottom/Side Feed Stop Bar system is strategically located to make it possible for an operator to strike the bar and stop the feed, either intentionally or automatically in an emergency situation.
