Features and Benefits

Feature: Dedicated ride on platform
Description: The S600TX is a dedicated ride on unit with a spring cushioned platform positioned within the framework of the machine
Benefit: Operator comfort is increased by eliminating the need to walk through worksite debris, mud and uneven terrain. The platform allows for greater visibility to the attachment and bucket edge compared to walk behind units. Operator fatigue may also be decreased due to the amount of time spent walking over the course of a project. The spring cushioned platform is also 14.5" high providing the necessary ground clearance to back up over curbs while enhancing visibility to the attachment.

Feature: Ergonomic single joystick controls with hand grip bar
Description: The S600TX has two single joystick controls which control transport and boom bucket motion that can be controlled/operated while holding on to the hand grip bar.
Benefit: When operating the S600TX, an operator can hold and maintain his/her balance while operating any of the machine functions at any time on uneven terrain. This allows the operator to be in control during operation. Some competitive units in the industry can not drive and operate multiple functions without removing their hands from the levers or bar.

Feature: Ground drive control joystick
Description: The S600TX has a single pilot operated joystick
Benefit: With the S600TX there is no need for a steering wheel apparatus or dual levers to control movement. The pilot operated control gives the operator smooth range of motion while minimizing any backpressure from the hydrostatic system.

Feature: Loader arm geometry
Description: The S600TX has curved loader arms that lift up and away from the machine to provide better height and position for loading/unloading.
Benefit: When lifting a large attachment, such as a 30" auger out of the ground, the S600TX loader's geometry provides the needed clearance to minimize the chance of the attachment damaging the front of the machine. The geometry also allows an operator to dump a bucket toward the center of a one ton truck.

Feature: Industry leading structural warranty for the S600TX
Description: The S600TX has a three year or three thousand hour limited warranty on mainframe and loader arms.
Benefit: The S600TX is the only machine in the compact skid steer market to provide a structural warranty. The 3-year/3000 hour limited warranty on structural components offers the customer additional peace of mind.

Feature: Sealed track roller bearings
Description: The S600TX uses sealed roller bearings versus greasable bearings
Benefit: Greasable bearings may be prone to failure due to a lack of maintenance. Sealed bearings require less daily maintenance for the customer.

Feature: Gas or diesel engine option
Description: The S600TX is available with a 25 horsepower Kohler (gas) or 25 horsepower Kubota (diesel)
Benefit: The customer can choose the engine option that best fits the customer's application.

Feature: Large Fuel and Hydraulic tank capacities
Description: 16 gallon fuel tank and 14 gallon hydraulic tank
Benefit: Vermeer offers the largest fuel tank capacity in its class at 16 gallons eliminating the need for refueling on most work days. The 14 gallon hydraulic tank is also the largest in class providing greater dwell time for the oil to cool and air to dissipate enhancing the operating life of the hydrostatic system.

Feature: Standard Auxiliary Electric power port
Description: 12 Volt Power Port
Benefit: The auxiliary power port is a necessity when adding a temporary light kit or using attachments that require a power source without having to tap into the unit's existing wire harness.

Feature: Operator console cushions
Description: The S600TX has three operator station cushions that are in the front and sides of the operator
Benefit: The operator station cushions help increase operator comfort by cushioning the forward and side to side movement of the operator when operating on uneven terrain.
