The TR6400 trommel screen was designed with toughness, compactness and ease of maintenance in mind. The 100 hp (75 kW) Deutz Tier 4 Final engine, combined with a 6’ (1.8 m) by 20’ (6.1 m) drum is ideal for topsoil, compost and woody biomass applications.

The foldout motor compartment allows access to the backside of the engine for maintenance and clean out.
The drum access is convenient, allowing access from the ground.
An auger drum option allows for consistency of finished screened material.
With the ability to tension the screen around the drum, operators can add rigidity to the screens. This design allows the use of smaller gauge wire, ultimately increasing the open area of the screen to help improve productivity.
The chain sprocket drive maintains a positive drive connection while eliminating the need for a chain to wrap around the drum.
Built for ease of maintenance with various access points to critical areas allowing the operator to efficiently maintain the machine.

  • Deutz 3.6L Tier 4F (Stage IV) 100 HP (74.4 kW) - The Deutz 3.6L Tier 4F (Stage IV) engine meets all U.S., Canada and European Union tier/stage regulations.
  • Drum service access - A single large access door along the side and entry from the end provide drum service access.
  • Low hopper height - A low hopper infeed height helps to decrease loading cycle times and reduces the need for loading ramps with most loaders.
  • Quick change drum - Efficiently change product size by exchanging drums.
  • Quick change screens - Quick screen changes can help improve job site efficiency, a particularly important feature when processing a range of materials that requires frequent screen changes. The design also creates a smooth exterior on the drum, reducing the amount of brush wear.
  • Square lift bars - Square lift bars inside the drum enable more material to be carried at a slower drum speed, helping decrease fuel consumption and premature wear.
  • Swing-out engine bay - A single large access door on the outside provides engine service access.  When the engine is swung out to service position, the rear side of the engine and maintenance points are accessible.
  • Tensioned screens - Compatibility with smaller gauge wire increases the open screen area, optimising production of the machine, particularly in applications when processing wetter materials.
  • Vermeer ACS control system - These control systems offer the operator greater flexibility when operating from the machine or cab of the loader. Operators can also adjust conveyor height from the remote, providing the ability to keep them low to the ground to reduce blowing of material. All control adjustments can be made via remote.
